This website

This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising or social-media plug-ins, and it has no forms. Fonts and images are served from the site itself.

The website is hosted by a hosting provider that keeps technical server logs (for example IP address, time and requested page) for security and troubleshooting. We do not use these logs to identify visitors.

E-mail enquiries

If you write to us, we process your name, e-mail address and the content of your message in order to answer you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). We keep messages for as long as needed to handle the matter, and then delete them unless the law requires us to keep them longer. Our e-mail is handled by a service provider acting on our behalf. Where data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, this is done only with the safeguards the GDPR requires.

Membership applications

If you apply for membership, we record your name, municipality of residence, date of joining and the contact details you give us in the register of members. The Finnish Associations Act requires an association to keep such a register, so the legal basis is a legal obligation. We keep the information for as long as you are a member and as long as the law requires afterwards. We do not give it to third parties except where the law requires.

Events and projects

If you take part in one of our events or projects, we will tell you separately, before we collect anything, what data we collect, why, and for how long.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable form, to the extent the GDPR provides. Write to finnuacluster.info@gmail.com to use these rights. You may also complain to the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman (Tietosuojavaltuutetun toimisto, tietosuoja.fi).
